  The limited menu available before a matinee was rather down to earth and unappetising eg 'scrubbed roots and goats' curd' or "corn fed chicken's leg', kidneys,and pollock,giving the impression they had gone for inexpensive food .There was no toast or crusty bread with the rather runny pate first course,only slices of white bread. The puddings were not very good,especially the Eve's pudding. I do feel the menu needs a rethink as it is not cheap.I would not want to go again despite the pleasant -looking surroundings and view.It is a wasted opportunity.
