The Church Street Townhouse - Restaurants in Stratford upon Avon

OUR TOP 10 RECOMMENDATION

The Best Lunch in Stratford-upon-Avon

What is it?
This centrally located bar/restaurant is situated opposite Shakespeare’s old school, so you may well leave with a writer’s flair that you never knew you had! It is situated in a 400 year old Grade II listed building and it retains a traditional feel. The dining room has a relaxed feel and it is complete with sofa style seating and a slightly Georgian appearance, complete with candles on the tables.

  1. I Marwood Says:

Popped in today for Sunday lunch and was very happy with the quality. Opted for the pork, crackling was fantastic… Not too much on the plate which I approve of… Just the right amount.

As we have a 5 month old we were pleasantly surprised with the child friendly atmosphere (3 other tables had small children). Obviously the place gets lively later on, but it’s a little gem for a Sunday lunch!

    I’ll be back!

My wife and I we’re invited midweek to The Church Street Townhouse for a meal with friends. I have to say I was very impressed, lovely setting excellent service – nothing at all negative…

I had a goat cheese starter, then the sirloin with béarnaise (my favourite!) and a Crème brûlée to finish…. All in All very impressed.
