    OMG some of the best lamb curries i’ve ever had…. & I’ve been to India! Exceptional! The best Curry in Stratford!

    I have sampled all of the Indian Takeaways in Stratford and in my vast experience Avon Spice is the best… The Lamb Chilli Tikka Masala was is die for – really really tender meat, Gorgeous!

    I just wanted to tell other Curryaphiles to not even bother looking elsewhere! :)

    After viewing your top ten restaurants in Stratford we decided to dine at Avon Spice on Saturday night as we were there for the weekend and really enjoy our curries!. I must say that we found the whole experience only average – we have visited many indian restaurants throughout this country and also abroad and in our view it comes in at 5 out of 10 at the most.
    Yes the food was quite good but the restuarant itself is in bad need of refurbishing especially upstairs and the toilets are not up to standard at all- not a good experience. The paintwork is all peeling off on the stair case and it all seemed to be really shabby and in great need of updating.
    We won’t be visiting again and actually the Indian further up Greenhill road – Balti House looked alot more welcoming and cleaner and brighter.
    Please review the restaurant again as it is not worthy of being in the top 10 in Stratford! In fact it was not a very pleasant experience at all eating there!
