Our experience
Having just booked our honeymoon to Malaysia we excitedly booked a table for two to get in the mood! The restaurant was set out in colonial style with white staircase, large green plants, crystal glasses etc. All very impressive on arrival. The restaurant was suprisingly quiet for 8 p.m on a Saturday which worried me slightly at first.
We decided to start the way we meant to on holiday and ordered two Singapore Slings while we perused the menu. Fantastic. Very prompt service too.
We then opted for the Malasian Malay menu (as we were off to KL!) and feasted our way through Ikan Goreng, Udang Bakar Kering, Ikan Karua and Rendang Daging the latter being absolutely ‘melt in your mouth’ delicious.
We had a super night mostly down to the fact that it was something really different, and I suppose we really felt we were already abroad. I still don’t understand why it was so quiet? But then why hadn’t I been there before, given that I have lived here all my life??
Perhaps we ought to open our eyes a little to what is on our doorstep?
