Where is it?
On the right hand side as you leave Statford- Upon- Avon on the Evesham road. Just at the foot of Bordon Hill.
What is it?
A large, modern Indian restaurant.
What makes it different?
Being out of town, it has a bit of class and is devoid of the late night beer drinkers.
Our experience
We’ve gone to this place on a number of occasions (and quite often birthdays, which you wouldn’t often associate with ‘curries’!) I think that’s because they make you feel a little bit more special than normal. As soon as you step through door you are greeted by a waiter who will show you either directly to a table or to a seat to wait. The menu is great, with the normal range on offer as well as a comprehensive list of chefs specials to choose from. Julie and I chose to opt for a platter which gave us little samples of a range of dishes as we were feeling rather indecisive. Everyone loved their food.
It was a fun night with prompt service and lots of laughter as we seemed to know everyone in the restaurant! It’s a sure sign that Chutneys is used and loved by the locals…..or are we the only ones who now about it? Ooops….just let the cat out of the bag!
